Visiting Buddy Holly

Iowa doesn't have many lakes, comparing to MN, so people enjoy lake time more intense there. That's what we witnessed at Clear Lake city, located at the lake with the same name. Much more lake life here, although infrastructure seems a bit poorer. Apart from lake life and lake cruises, it's worth to drive 6miles north, to see Buddy Holly's plane crash site. Even if on private field, the family agreed to allow public access to the symbolic memorial of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, Big Bopper and cpt.Roger Peterson.
