Badlands National Park is a place full of unusual rock formations: sharply eroded buttes and pinnacles, along with the largest undisturbed mixed grass prairie in the United States. Tourists come here to camp, photograph wildlife, search for birds or flowers, study fossils. Here you can meet coyotes, butterflies, turtles, vultures, snakes, bisons and prairie dogs. Total park ground covers over 240,000 acres.
