Speeding on salt

Heading west from Salt Lake City towards Nevada, you pass the Tree of Utah on hwy 80. Just a few miles further west you can spot the Blue Canal which is a salty waste-water channel used by nearby potash plant. Finally, you get to the Bonneville salt flats which host the annual speed racing event and holds world land speed record. From here it’s just a ‘walk’ to Nevada.
