Des Moines - Iowa's capital

Although people say that Iowa and its capital are boring, we found Des Moines quite interesting. Capitol, sculpture park, History Museum - that was enough as for one day stay. And the city itself - was named after the Des Moines River, which likely was adapted from the early French name, Rivière des Moines, meaning "River of the Monks".
